Calgary-Centre By-Election: Forum Poll has Tory at 48%, Harvey Locke (L) at 28%, Greens and NDP at 8%-11%

Forum Research released a poll of the Calgary-Centre byelection to gauge the support of each candidate in the riding.

Conservative candidate Joan Crockatt sits at almost half of the support of the riding, with Harvey Locke some 20 points behind her at 28%. Since the previous poll (in August) the Harvey Locke team has increased their percentage points by 7% (from 21% to 28%).

Comparing it to the last federal election, where the Liberals received 17.53% of the vote, this is a ten point bump over last year for the Harvey Locke team.

The Greens are within the margin of error of the NDP with their 11% to the NDP’s 8%.

As per usual, I caution the reader to avoid putting any faith in polls. There are more important stuff than what the mainstream media writes about, that pollsters see in the election, and that anyone’s narrative wants to create. As I wrote last month, don’t take heed in the polls too much. What matters is election day and the decision of voters in the constituency to pick the best choice amongst the candidates.
