Liberals still in hairs breadth from Tories in Calgary-Centre — MoE has them in statistical heat

Nenshi and Harvey Locke at the Sunday debate on city issues.

Liberal Harvey Locke is within the margin of error of Tory Joan Crockatt.

It’s close. Just as close as last week’s poll.

Harvey Locke, who has been consistently talking about having progressive values — of being fiscally prudent, socially progressive, and environmentally sound at home and abroad — has doubled the % of support the Liberals has had since the 2011 federal election. He’s gathered liberals and Progressive Conservatives / progressive conservatives on side, has had numerous Members of Parliament come out to door knock with him (I had the pleasure of door knocking with Sean Casey of Charlottetown last night), and is hard on the doors, working 14 – 16 hours a day to send a message to Harper and the federal Conservatives.

It’s happening. It’s a once in 40 years chance to send a progressive to Ottawa from Calgary and to say that, unequivocally, that Calgarians give a damn about who represents them.
